I don’t know why I waited so long to start using one of these they are incredibly handy. I’m sure I’m gonna go from 0 to 4-5 of them very quickly because they are that useful.

This thing is everything - clean, great retrieve, easy to dial in. The only downside is now I have to replace all my other reels with this one.
The first time I had this line out, I was belly boating for the first time. This fly line let my weighted leech patterns get over 40 feet deep in the lake, but it still stripped very well. It's very easy to cast, especially with the extra weight in the tip.
I love using these CDC feathers to add some extra "bugginess" to any patterns. I've been tying copper zebra midges with a CDC collar for murkier days on Clear Creek with great success.
Although these don't share the same fly quantities that other boxes have, they do an amazing job at making all the flies easy to find and pull out of the box. I love using these for dry flies and hoppers especially, since they have adequate room in between flies, the hackle or fibers don't get trapped like they would in a more cramped box. The mag pad is also excellent for tyers wanting to test out new patterns, I keep all of my new stuff on the mag pad to determine if a new pattern gets a slot in the box later on.
I love the MFC Slotted Tungsten beads, especially paired with a jig hook. I primarily use these to tie perdigon patterns, but they also work well for zebra midges and to get some extra weight on pheasant tails.
I purchased this Butterstick because I found myself pulling smaller fish out with a 6wt very easily. This Butterstick lets me enjoy catching smaller fish more, and casting fiberglass sends me into pure joy. It does great on smaller streams!
I love this reel! I was looking for a reel with several spare spools, and decided to give the Lamson a shot after hearing great reviews. The drag system is flawless, and easy to adjust mid-fight. I purchased the -5+, and I use one spool for euro nymphing on a 3wt, one on a 4wt Butterstick, and one for sinking line on a 6wt. Although all three rods are drastically different, the balance on all of them is surprisingly good. I especially like it for my 10'6" 3wt euro rod, it balances out nearly perfectly.
I lost count of how many fish I have caught on this line, but it does everything needed flawlessly.
