Current River Conditions

Current fishing conditions are varying depending on where you are in the upper section. Flows are extremely low coming from the feeder creeks and Granby Reservoir right now, leaving the upper section above Williams Fork very weedy and high temperatures. We'd advise to stay away from any part of the Colorado above from the Williams Fork confluence. Directly below the Williams Fork confluence has brought good fishing due to the cold water coming from the Williams Fork. On this section the water is still low, but fish are eating PMD's, caddis, and midges, as well some small terrestrials here and there. After the confluence with the Blue River, the water is looking much better. Although still low is comparison to the past, the water from the Blue down to Radium is cold and the trout are very happy! Like mentioned before, we'd fish PMD's, caddis, and midges, with the addition of big hopper and streamers if you're fishing from a boat.
