Fly Tying Beads and Eyes
Fly tying beads are small, round beads that are used in fly fishing to add weight and attractiveness to fly patterns. They are typically made of metal or plastic and are available in a variety of sizes, colors, and finishes. Beads are most commonly used on nymph patterns, but they can also be used on other types of flies.
Typically, the bead is placed on the hook before the other materials are added. The bead helps to add weight to the fly, which helps it sink more quickly in the water. It can also add a bit of flash and attraction to the fly, which helps to entice fish to bite. Beads come in a variety of sizes that vary depending on the size of the fly and the size of the hook being used.
