We are lucky enough to host numerous locations for our guests throughout the state. Whether you're staying close to the Golden or Castle Rock areas, or staying further into the mountains, we have plenty of options near and far.
Although these areas are open to the public and have the reputation of being busy, that's far from the case. Our guides know these waters like the back of their hands and always have secret honey holes, even if the river is busy!
Our public water options include:

-Bear Creek: 20 minute drive form Golden
-South Platte River near Deckers: ~1 hour drive from Golden
-Blue River: ~1 hour drive from Golden
-Eagle River: ~1.5 hour drive from Golden
-Arkansas River tailwater in Pueblo: ~2 hour drive from Golden
-Antero Reservoir: ~2 hour drive from Golden (CLOSED for 2026 season)
Looking to get away from the crowds? Are you looking to catch trophy trout and potentially a fish of a lifetime? Our private water options offer a day of privacy on the water and the opportunity to catch big fish.
Our private water options are rather close to the Golden area, making the commute to the private retreat an easy one. We offer four different private river stretches along the North Fork and mainstem of the South Platte River, and one private stillwater located in South Park.

-Shawnee Meadows: 50 minute drive from Golden
-Silver Tip Ranch: 55 minute drive from Golden
-Valholl Ranch: ~1.5 hour drive from Golden

Tryston was super knowledgeable, patient and put us into the fish. I got the "trifecta", brook, rainbow, and a brown. It was a great day and having a guide like Tryston really made a difference. The shop itself is amazing! I've been into a lot of fly shops but Golden is up on the higher echelon of shops. They have everything and the folks that work there are super helpful and friendly, even offered me a Coors while I waited for my UBER :-).
