Flows are relatively low on the Platte right now, so expect more techincal fishing. We'd advise bringing a 4wt with small tippet and tiny flies to increase your chances right now. While nymphing, we'd suggest fishing a scud or hare's ear as a lead fly, with varying midges, tricos, and baetis patterns trailing behind. Trico hatches have been decent recently, with solid spinner falls occuring around 10am most days! Don't be afraid to toss around a hopper in the afternoon as well, it's the perfect time of year for it and some fish are taking advantage. Afternoon storms are leading way to great PMD hatches as well!
