Fly Fishing the South Platte (Dream Stream)
Rating: 2/5
Current River Conditions
December 3, 2024
The Dream Stream is in its winter mode now. Very few fish and those that are around will be picky with what they eat and wary of anglers. If you plan on fishing the Dream we advise fishing small, technical midge rigs. Sometimes leading with a leech, egg, or small stonefly will work, but expect these rigs to spook fish more than they would catch. Please be aware of spawning redds, although fish are almost all but done spawning there eggs are in the system. To preserve the life of these eggs to ensure more fish in the future, avoid walking on or near the redds.
