WARNING: PLEASE keep an eye on water temperatures and quit fishing once it hits 65. Air temperatures and low rainfall lately has caused hot conditions that are harmful to trout if caught. Have a thermometer and check water temperatures every hour once it's 10:30am.
The Dream is quickly receiving its batch of migratory fish in the system. A small group of kokanee salmon and brown trout have made their way into the river, as well as quite a few migratory cuttbows that follow them in. Eggs are not flowing in the system right now, but throwing one is never a bad way to get the attention of these lake dwellers. Please be cautious of any spawning behavior, if you see redds PLEASE fish elsewhere. There are plenty of fish to go round. Aside from eggs, worms, leeches, medium sized copper johns, hare's ear, and pheasant tails are good choices for these fish. If they're being stubborn, throw on the classic tailwater assortments. Don't anticipate much dry fly activity, but throwing a streamer can get a look or two.
