Bear Creek is fishing good right now! This local creek often gets overlooked, particularly this time of the year when the water is on the rise. Don't let this scare you away, the fish love the rising flows because it brings a ton of food. I would get out while you still can, but be prepared, soon the creek will be flooded with off-colored water and won't be fishable for a fair amount of time. So, if you're looking for some solitude on the front range we highly recommend getting to Bear! Nymphing and hopper-dropper has been our go-to methods as of late, but spring BWO's are hatching everyday which allows for some fantastic surface action.
