We are absolutely stoked to announce our first in person event at the shop! On May 27th a talented fish artist by the name of Drew Wilson will be in the house to paint our 12' Great White Shark into a trout! If you don't know the backstory about our shop shark let's get you up to speed on how the shop centerpiece came to be and also why we have a 1973 Ford LTD: 

In 2018 shop owner Justin Nine, had an opportunity to contribute to the "Ride-with-Clyde" series in the Drake Magazine. The vehicle was located out East and so was a great white shark eBay find...

Once the loosely made plans were locked in, Justin & Kevin hopped on a flight out to pick up Clyde for a road trip back west with the 12' Shark strapped to the roof.

Long story short (you'll have to swing by the shop to read the throwback issue of the Drake with the full story) Clyde the 1974 Marquis, semi bit the dust after 2500 miles and a few redfish flats along the way. 

"When white smoke began pouring from the exhaust instead of the tires we knew there was a problem..."

After briefly considering a U-haul to complete the journey, we decided we would rather experience the rest of the journey with a sight unseen craigslist special.  And so the Legend of Bonnie, our 1973 Pickle Green Ford LTD, was born.

WE ARE NOW OFFERING FLOAT TRIPS!

We are excited to announce that we are offering float trips as part of our 2021 guiding program at Golden Fly Shop! 

Offering float trips to customers may be new to the Golden Fly Shop guiding program, but our guides have years of experience on the waters we fish. Weather you're tired of fishing the same ole tailwater beats or looking to explore 5-10 miles of river in one day and have a shot at fresh runs throughout your journey this is the program for you.

Prices for a full day float with Golden Fly Shop start at $650, including flies, rods, reels, terminal tackle, waders/boots and a freshly prepared lunch!*

*Group and half day trips are available.
