Fly Fishing the Lower Colorado River

Rating: 5/5

Current River Conditions

August 24, 2024

WARNING: PLEASE keep an eye on water temperatures and quit fishing once it hits 65. Air temperatures and low rainfall lately has caused hot conditions that are harmful to trout if caught. Have a thermometer and check water temperatures every hour once it's 10:30am.

The river is at great fishable levels and every report we've received has been great. Sight fishing to active risers, hopper-droppers, and streamers have all been producing. This is the perfect time of the year to "pick your poison" on the Lower C!
