The Eagle is kicking out fish after fish right now. Rainbows are spawning so please be aware and leave these fish alone, there's plenty of fish that aren't spawning! Big spring midges (aka Buffalo Midges) are hatching in clouds right now, in addition to the plentiful spring BWO's. That said, we don't see a ton of surface action this time of the year on the Eagle, so prepare for a fair amount of nymphing. We aren't necessarily ruling it out, but just a fair warning. Streamer action has also been very consistent lately, fish have been keying in on smaller baitfish patterns, as well as larger crawdad patterns. Be aware though, river flows are rising quickly and will soon be at unfishable conditions, so get out before the runoff is here to stay.
