Fly Fishing the Eagle River, Colorado

Rating: 4/5

Current River Conditions

July 14, 2024

The Eagle is on the drop right now and fishing has been heating up very quickly. Our guided trips have been very successful with nymphing bigger and brighter flies. Indicator and euro fishing has been very successful. We'd recommend fishing rubberlegs, worms, perdigons, frenchies, CDC trashers, and mop flies. Keep an eye out for PMD's and caddis as well. Although dry fly fishing isn't fantastic on the Eagle, nymphing these patterns can work incredibly well.
