Fly Fishing the Eagle River, Colorado

Rating: 4/5

Current River Conditions

March 5, 2025

The Eagle is flying under people's radars right now. The fishing is hot! Nymphing and small streamers has been the best choices, but if there's rising fish you should absolutely throw a dry. Midges will continue to be the best option right now, but look in the coming weeks for BWO's to start appearing. Keep an eye out for spawning rainbow trout and please leave them alone, as well as the redds!
