Fly Fishing the Roaring Fork, Colorado

Current River Conditions

August 24, 2024

WARNING: PLEASE keep an eye on water temperatures and quit fishing once it hits 65. Air temperatures and low rainfall lately has caused hot conditions that are harmful to trout if caught. Have a thermometer and check water temperatures every hour once it's 10:30am.

The flows are steady on the "Fork" right now and the fishing has been great. Plugging the banks with hopper-dropper rigs and streamers have been producing lots of fish. If you're fishing from the banks, attractor nymph rigs have been producing the most fish.
