Fly Fishing at South Platte (Deckers), Colorado
Rating: 4/5
Current River Conditions
Fri May 22 2026 00:00:00 GMT-0600 (Mountain Daylight Time)
Flows have dropped once again on the South Platte, leading to technical, low water conditions. These flows offer great dry fly fishing when conditions call for it. Midge hatches occur early and late here, some BWO's will be lingering midday, as well as caddis hatching midday through the evening. When fish aren't rising, we're nymphing with tiny midge rigs that are led with caddis or scud patterns.
